This project is a visual and instructional guide to making traditional desi chai—a beloved South Asian tea known for its bold flavor, aromatic spices, and comforting warmth. Each phase of the chai-making process is represented through stylized illustrations and thoughtful layouts, creating a design that’s both informative and culturally rich. This piece walks viewers through each step of the process, from boiling the tea leaves and spices to the final pour. Beyond just a recipe, it’s a celebration of heritage, hospitality, and the everyday ritual that brings people together over a cup of chai.

Henna Type Design

This custom font I created was made using Adobe Illustrator, inspired by traditional henna patterns. Each letter was hand-drawn and carefully crafted using floral motifs, transforming intricate henna designs into a unique, decorative typeface that celebrates my cultural background and personal creativity.

This design transforms Langston Hughes' poem Theme for English B into a compelling visual poetry piece. Using expressive typography and visual imagery, the artwork reflects the poem’s themes of identity, race, and self-expression. The contrast of bold and delicate typefaces mirrors the poem’s introspective yet assertive tone, while the imagery evokes a sense of personal and cultural reflection.
